Quality Objectives

The Company's aspiration is to achieve the following service and performance objectives.

• To ensure that are customers receive from us a level of service which is beyond their reasonable expectations.
• Thereby achieving business growth in excess of five percent per annum at a profit level in line with our business sector.
• This will require effective staff commitment and training, both technical and commercial, to improve our key strengths which are on-time delivery of our service and reliability in response to our customers needs.

Environmental Policy

The Company is committed to comply with the requirements of the ISO 14001:2004 Standard & continually improve the effectiveness of the environmental quality management system.

The Environmental Policy demonstrates the framework used for setting and reviewing environmental objectives and is communicated and understood throughout the organisation. The Policy is reviewed for suitability at the MRM

F.T.Gearings Ltd fully accepts its responsibilities with regard to the environment, at our depot and storage site and customer’s sites.

We will comply with all relevant environmental legislation, implement controls and procedures to prevent pollution and to continually improve on the impacts, which the company’s operations have on the environment. We will seek to minimise waste, reduce energy consumption and harmful emissions and where possible work with suppliers who have sound environmental management systems (EMS).

A fundamental consideration of the EMS will be the establishment and achievement of annual objectives and targets.

All management and staff are fully committed to this policy and program which will be periodically reviewed for continuing suitability.”

Environmental Objectives

The Company's aim is to achieve the following environmental performance objectives.

• Reduce quantity of debris dumped
• Reduce energy consumption
• Reduce harmful emissions
• Where appropriate encourage clients to recycle garden waste

Health & Safety At Work Policy

F.T.Gearing L/S Ltd (The Company) recognizes the importance of safe working practices and procedures and will comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety as Work Act 1974, the COSH Regulations the Pesticide Regulations and other applicable legislation as a minimum to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare of all our operatives and others affected by our activities.

The company will provide such information and instruction as may be necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of its employees and to promote awareness and understanding of health and safety throughout the workforce and will ensure that when new substances, plant, machinery, equipment, processes or premises are introduced, adequate guidance, instruction, training and supervision are provided for safe methods of work to be developed

Copies of this policy to be held in office and issued at induction and annually with new contracts.
The company considers that Safety, Health and Welfare are as important as the production and quality and should receive the same consideration

To ensure that employees at all receive the same consideration. times work under conditions, which are not prejudicial to health or maximum safety. To provide and maintain plant, equipment and systems of work that are, as far as it is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health. Deliberate contravention of safety policy by any employee will be grounds for instant dismissal. Where appropriate safety training will be undertaken and supervisory staff will, from time to time, carry out spot checks to ensure that policy is being complied with.

Ensure correct handling, storage & transport of substances & articles
Provide adequate information suitable instruction, training & supervision
Ensure consultation with site operatives to allow the best possible working practices
Appoint only people who are competent for the work in which they are engaged
Provide & maintain in a safe working environment with safe access & egress and adequate welfare facilities
Allocate necessary financial resources to ensure the requirements of the policy and legislation are met
